Why out of stock (OOS) insights matter
Whether you’re a sales account manager or ecommerce professional, being on top of your digital shelf listings is crucial.
Here’s why:
- Shoppers can’t buy your products. As simple as it may sound, lacking visibility is one of the basics many brands need to have fixed; it is also part of our 8 fundamentals framework
- Avoid shopper frustration. By knowing where you have stock or availability issues in a retailer can help you plan effectively to avoid disappointing shoppers during their online shop. Unlike in store online shoppers are likely to brand switch to a competitor when they encounter a purchase barrier within individual items.
- Enable a holistic approach to your ecommerce strategy. In combination with our fundamental Winning Campaigns you’ll learn how quickly promotions are driving your products to go out of stock. Such instances can help you plan more effectively for future promotions or help identify trade up opportunities for your brand.
- Evaluate impact on search ranking. Our fundamental Easy to Buy lets you understand how your products are ranking across retailers. Linked with the Availability insights, you’d be able to evaluate the impact OOS has on your products’ page-1 share of search terms for your category.
Availability reporting within e.fundamentals will help you keep on top of your availability across retailers such as Amazon or any other retailer you need range reporting on. More so, you’ll be covering a key aspect of how to win online.
